Queries. Synonym: torture

The query I just sent out on Dec. 31 took me well over 6 months to write. Notice I did not say "perfect". I do not believe it is possible to perfect one of these! I wrote, rewrote, got people who had not read my book to read it, took their feedback and rewrote it...and so on and so on. Finally, I decided to redo it one last time, keep it short and succinct and (hopefully) interesting before sending it off.
